Should they stay or should they go?
The Titans sure put up a decent fight tonight, although a little bit too late in the game. It was good to see Kerry Collins on his game tonight and Chris Johnson running! The fans at least got to see a decent game, even if it was a loss. Hopefully, Bud Adams will make some wise decisions that might bring the Titans to the Super Bowl in 2012. Hey, it could happen!!!

October 17th, 2010
That's my new birthday! I re-dedicated my life to the Lord! I won't receive any wrapped presents, cake or a party, but I will receive eternal life. I went to church Sunday to worship and to hear another good sermon. What I got instead was both but I didn't exactly hear a good sermon. What I did hear was an awesome testimony/sermon rolled into one. God spoke to my heart, and compelled me to make a decision. I chose to make a drastic change in my life.
Ephesians 2:4-5. But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.

Thinking back on 911
My mother wants me to write about my feelings of 9/11. I'm not sure why. She says my feelings make sense and not just angry. Well it's one of the few things I'm not angry about I guess. I mean I am but I'm not motivated by anger regarding 9/11. I'm moved by the compassion that was shown to one another after that horrible day but saddened that it didn't last. For about 3-4 months, it didn't matter if you were white, black, brown, purple or green. Everyone who was American was accepted and treated kindly. We loved each other and leaned on one another. It was a time of despair because we all felt the pain and loss of those victims and/or heroes. At some point I will sit down and write all of my feelings and beliefs out and maybe submit it to some short story contest or a magazine editor. For now, I'm just going to try to figure out what all I would say and how I would put it out there.
Well, I must work tomorrow, so good night! God Bless us all!!!

I don't remember the terrible two's being this terrible but at the same time I do remember this feeling of anxiety. I sometimes feel like I need to give my 2 1/2 year old to a convent for 2 years so that she can grow out of this stage and live through it. She is more stubborn and obstenant than any of my other 3 kids ever were, although, my eitght year old was fairly close. I do know that none of them would ever refuse to eat altogether. And while she is so stubborn, she is also so stinking cute that it's hard to stay mad. She's pretty dang funny, too.
Now we have Mr. Smarty Pants, the tween. He's only 11 but I'm convinced it starts as soon as they walk through the doors at middle school. I just need him to get his head screwed back on tight so that he can re-engage his brain. If we tell him to do something, the first thing out of his mouth is, no. The next time I'm liable to make him do write offs and after that he's going to become Amish. I could just drop him off with my cousins for a couple of weeks. He would come home from them with manors and respect. Okay, I'm dreaming on that one...haha! He's just started testing the waters but I've got to make sure that he knows he is NOT in control. This is Mama's house and if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
There are 2 more to go but we can chat about them another time.
For now, I'll leave you with this, given the most recent turn of events: Hate spreads hate and if Christians or Americans of any kind follow in their footsteps, then we have allowed them to win by turning us into their puppets.
Bed time...g'nite!

Stress is Rush Hour in Nashville
Life in Nashville is not so bad, in fact, it's a pretty decent place to raise a family. Driving in Nashville, however, SUCKS!
It's Monday afternoon and the sun is shining. The drive home should be wonderful, right? Wrong. Some crazy drivers have wrecked and blocked an entire interstate system. It takes an hour and a half to get home, that's crazy, but what's more crazy is the guy who didn't get home for two hours. Then comes Tuesday and the rain. Oh rain, it's so needed but not so much during rush hour traffic with the lovely people of Nashville who freak completely out over rain. They can't drive too well when the sun is shining, much less when it rains. You've got the people who go 10 mph less than the speed limit because of fear and the ones who go 20 mph more than normal to get home faster and out of the rain. Who is the most dangerous? Both of them! Someone is always either impeding traffic or being a complete menace. Either way it makes the driving here treacherous!
One quick side note! Please learn how to merge people!! It's really simple. It's the zipper effect. Each person allows one car into the lane of traffic. You really don't lose anything by doing this and everyone gets to work safely and much less stressed. Remember the golden rule!

Ready, Set, Blog!
I really want to make this a fun blog about something that people will want to read. I'm not sure what I can write about. I do suppose if I write about something I know about that might be best. The question is, what do I know about? I know about reality TV. I know about dysfunctional families. I know about being a working mom. All of these sound so boring that I'm falling asleep (Zzzzzzzz!). But seriously, I could write about any of these and make it funny or a forum to discuss the issue/topic.
Let's start with The Real Housewives. I am a big fan of the New Jersey Housewives, so I watched the new show tonight. After it went off, The DC Housewives came on, so I thought I would give it a chance. All I can say is, no thanks. I'm not feeling it. Maybe if they just start being themselves but right now they just seem to be trying too hard...all except the black lady, who seems to be someone I would like watching. If I had to choose today to watch or not, it would be a no thanks.
I don't know yet if I want to limit this to writing my opinions on the shows I watch or my opinions on everything. If I write an opinion on everything I have one about, look out! This might be fun. Ready, set, blog!!

Watched "Fast & Furious" tonight. It's the 4th in the franchise. I like it so much that I immediately went on the Internet to find out if a 5th installment was going to be done. I'm thrilled to report that yes, there is a 5th and it's to be in theaters April 3rd, 2011, according to what I read. I love Vin Diesel but also Paul Walker. Actually, I think they have a great chemistry and it works really well on the big screen. I saw photos that showed Tyrese Gibson from "2 Fast 2 Furious" and I like him also. This may well be the best one yet and I can't wait to see it.
Wow, it's late for me...11:57 p.m. I'm usually in bed by 2 hours ago. I guess I'll head there now and try to think of something more interesting and exciting to blog about tomorrow. Sweet dreams all!

Green Eyed Monster
I'm sitting here wishing I were with my boys but sadly, not because I miss them. Oh, I will miss them, but right now I'm just jealous. They are at the beach and I'm stuck at home, working and suffocating from the heat. The truth is that I'm really happy for them to be there, but I was sad this morning, when it hit me that I was missing their first trip to the beach. Their dad texted me a picture of them in front of the ocean and I got teary eyed (not so much green eyed ;). I am so exhausted so I'll write again soon but for now it's off to bed.
